Differences Between High-Powered LED Floodlights and Traditional Floodlights

06-23 17:51

There are significant differences between LED floodlights and traditional floodlights, not only in the principle of illumination but also in structure. With the current trend of high-powered LED floodlights replacing traditional floodlights, it's important to understand these differences between LED and traditional projectors.

  1. For traditional high-power floodlights, the electrical box needs to be equipped with a ballast, trigger, and capacitor for industrial lamps, whereas high-powered LED floodlights only require an LED driver.
  2. Traditional light sources are generally metal halide lamps, which are commonly used in high-power floodlights, whereas high-powered LED floodlights use LED chips, which are a cold light source. 3. The distribution of light in traditional high-power floodlights is achieved by matching different shapes of reflectors, while high-powered LED floodlights adjust the distribution curve of light using lenses. 4. The LED driver and LED chip packaging in high-powered LED floodlights can achieve excellent waterproof and dustproof effects, while traditional high-power floodlights need to be equipped with glass covers.
  3. High-powered LED projectors are more energy-efficient than traditional high-power projectors. For example, a 150w LED projector can replace a 400w traditional high-power projector; a 100w-120w LED high-power floodlight can replace a 250w traditional high-power floodlight, achieving a 1:2 or even higher ratio.

After understanding these five differences, you should have a general idea of why high-powered LED floodlights can replace traditional high-power floodlights. As LED technology continues to progress and mature, high-powered LED floodlights are expected to become even more popular.
