Learning to Distinguish the Advantages and Disadvantages of LED Wall Washer Lights:
The first measure is to check the glue: If the LED strip light turns significantly yellow after one year, it is due to the poor quality of the glue material. The market has many inferior glues sold under the name of waterproof PU glue, which have poor waterproof performance and are prone to yellowing and darkening. Similarly, the price of LED strip lights greatly differs from that of regular waterproof PU glue, usually by more than double.
The second measure is to assess the aluminum material: The variety of ultra-thin aluminum materials is vast. When selecting aluminum materials for LED strip lights, reputable manufacturers will first consider whether the thermal dissipation performance is adequate. Do you think the thicker the aluminum, the better? In fact, it's like assuming the thicker makeup and foundation, the better the appearance. Not at all. If the aluminum is not prone to deformation and has good heat dissipation, it must be of moderate thickness. It’s not accurate to say the thicker the aluminum, the better. Moreover, if the strip light’s aluminum is thinner, it dissipates heat better. Not true! Thinner aluminum has worse heat dissipation, is easily deformed when installed, and cutting corners is unacceptable! Additionally, this is a question of cost-effectiveness. For a high cost-performance ratio, the manufacturer must control the quality of materials used.
The third measure, look at the lamp bead components: In the industry, there are only a few well-known packaging manufacturers, but can you distinguish whether the brand chips you received are genuine? Some unscrupulous LED strip light manufacturers boast about the quality of their raw materials, selling chips worth a few cents as if they were from well-known brands. But pricing patterns persist, how could it be possible to get good quality for a low price? So, we believes that good chips are also quite expensive.
Choosing an LED wall washer light manufacturer also requires caution. After all, if quality issues arise later on, it will not only incur high costs but also result in the loss of customers' trust. If possible, visit the factory to see the actual production situation.
